“Before you bring your car in with a problem, so we can recreate it and analyze it, have the answers to these questions:
“My experience with Newport Motorsports was amazing!! I hadn't brought my car in for maintenance since I purchased it a year and a half ago (2007 Passat Wagon) and I was afraid of what needed to be done. In the quest for a mechanic, I was looking on yelp for a foreign auto specialist and Newport Motorsports was recommended to me from Mike's Auto in costa mesa.”
"Chris, the owner, is the best mechanic I've ever found. Honest, smart, creative, and dependable. Everything you need in the person who's going to maintain you second most expensive investment. The rest of the staff is competent and concerned about doing what's right for you.
He's maintained my Porsche 993, my daughter's Mercedes 190, and will start on my wife's Lexus GX470."
“I write a review first time in my life today, because I have had a wonderful experience with Newport Motorsports, and can not stop expressing the fact that I am very happy. When I called the shop, Victor was very kind, polite and helpful trying to give me helpful advice on the phone, and when I visited today, Chris was also very polite and explained the work process well. I am a 100% satisfied happy customer !!! ”
“After years dealing with so many car repair shops trying to find just ONE that would fix my car problems without draining my wallet my search has finally ended.
Even though I drive a Jeep, I was smart enough to ask my car-loving, Porsche-driving aunt and she recommended Newport Motorsports. I called in and spoke with Victor, who was super helpful. I brought my car in and he took the time to explain things and show me both the real and potential problems my car was facing so I could make informed decisions on what I did and didn't want to repair. I couldn't believe all the problems my car had...some of them as obvious as random parts just floating around under the hood because my last mechanic didn't take the time to bolt them back down! Being a girl that is not much into cars, it felt good to meet someone who actually wanted me to understand the repairs we were discussing rather than the usual eye-rolling or push to spend more $ for something I'm not convinced I actually need.
For the first time in a long time I found myself driving away from a repair shop in a car that I actually felt safe in...and with money to spare!”
"First of all, the employees are SO nice.
They are very accommodating and always take my car in as soon as possible.
Second, they are very thorough when explaining what is going on. I have base knowledge when it comes to my car - meaning, I know when it doesn't sound right, when I need gas, and when to fill the tires with air. So, I really appreciate that they tell me what the root of the problem is, how it got to be that way, and ways to avoid the problem in the future."
“I have been going to Newport Motorsports for about 6 years now and they've always treated me right. My most recent experience - I dropped my car off on a Sunday night and left a note apologizing for not making an appointment. I needed some pretty major work done (Timing belt, Axles, and stuff). Before having any work done I had gotten a quote from another shop on general principles the quote was $2200. Newport Motorsports did all the work for me for $1500 and had it ready for me when I returned. My favorite part is that I always get a straight answer and I NEVER have felt lied to. I've found it easier to find a doctor then find an auto shop that treats their customers with respect and are honest.”
